The symbol of a bird soaring high above the clouds tells a story so much greater than itself. It’s a story of freedom, hope and peace, a symbol celebrated around the world.

The bird pendant from Emi & Eve also has a story to tell. Crafted from recycled bullets and bombshells leftover from the 20th century Cambodian conflict, this pendant is an easy and elegant accessory with a simplicity that belies the haunting story behind its creation. War in Cambodia resulted in a tragic loss of life and land, but that was then. This is now. As the Cambodian people move on, craftsmen like Chantha Theoun find new hope in the very materials that once peppered the land with tears. Discarded bullets and bombshell casings are discovered and recycled every day, and Emi & Eve transforms those materials into modern, unique accessories with a brand new story to tell.

It’s your story, too. The question, “I love your necklace, where’s it from?” just got a whole lot more interesting.
