BE OPEN: Time to Defy Gravity, William Chua, Singapore

William Chua is a freelance illustrator based in Singapore who believe in creating something out of nothing as an artist and is heavily influenced by Japanese and Chinese culture. Some of his most iconic artwork include the Panda Revolution series and other panda-themed designs, Samurai Cat, and game-inspired Japanese woodblock (ukiyo-e) style artwork e.g. Samurai Mario. His artwork is created digitally, and is commonly used as designs for t-shirts or prints / posters.

This watch celebrates the ability of the human mind to dream dreams and drive change. A freelance illustrator from Singapore, William Chua was inspired by two seemingly separate subjects: the Panda and man in space. This led him to think... "What if?" He conceived of this Pandastronaut - a depiction of a panda in space, drawn in the style of propaganda arts - which by definition, seeks to drive change and change the mindset of others. William is always on a quest to redefine art and inspire viewers to open to different perspectives. Defy logic, defy convention, defy gravity, even. Let Pandastronaut remind you that anything can happen if you think it can. Sometimes the only limitation is your own mind.

Moment Watches collaborates with artists and entrepreneurs around the world to create beautiful and exciting watches, each with a unique meaning and emotion. An impressive 30% of net proceeds are donated to charities helping widows in need, orphans and poverty alleviation.
